The strip method entails surgically removing a piece of the scalp and closing the section by using staples or stitches. The piece that was removed will then be divided into several pieces that will be suitable for transplanting. Each piece will be placed in a corresponding area where there is a need for them. Basically, the plastic surgeon will map out a new hairline and fill out places where the patient needs them.
